Creating through connection: art classes for children and their mothers
In our atelier, we welcome young artists starting from the age of 6 - and we invite their mothers to join them. This shared experience becomes more than just a creative outlet; it’s a way to nurture the bond between mother and child through trust, presence, and discovery.
Why together?
When a parent creates alongside a child, it creates a space of safety and mutual respect. The child feels supported, not judged — and the adult rediscovers the joy of play and exploration. These shared moments often lead to deeper connection, better communication, and emotional closeness that carries beyond the classroom.
How it works
Our sessions are structured to encourage confidence and curiosity:
- They have access to a rich library of books and visual models designed for young learners.
- Children begin by exploring shapes, colours, textures, and materials: from markers and watercolours to acrylic and graphic drawing.
- At first, they often copy and repeat - this is a natural and valuable phase.
- Over time, their individual style and creative confidence begin to emerge.
Guidance
Each session is guided by a tutor who gently supports the process without directing it.
We never draw “instead of” the child. Instead, we create an environment where each child can feel free to try, make mistakes, and grow.
Multicultural exposure
Our atelier is a multilingual and multicultural space where creativity meets diversity. We speak Ukrainian, Russian, English, French, and Albanian, creating an inclusive environment for families from different backgrounds.
Children naturally absorb this diversity - through language, art, and interaction - which gently broadens their worldview. Hearing different languages and meeting peers from various cultures helps expand their imagination, builds openness, and nurtures curiosity about the world.
Art becomes not just a form of self-expression, but a window into how others see, feel, and create.
